Abstract We discuss about some modified inspection policies which minimize the expected cost rates and show its numerical examples. At first, we explain the standard inspection policy which minimizes the expected cost rate. Especially, we show how to compute optimal inspection times using Iterative Method for sequential inspection models. Next, we consider finite number of inspection and finite interval models. For these models, we obtain the expected cost rates, and discuss numerically about optimal inspection times.
