Abstract Electroencephalogram (EEG) and event-related potentials (ERPs) were conducted, in order to research brain functions associated with the effect of color for car design. The results demonstrated that the amplitudes of the ERPs evoked by the white cars were higher than the black cars, and the EEG was strongly blocked (reduced) by looking the blackcar.EEG/ERPs could be the electrophysiological index for checking the effect of car design elements.
