Abstract People living with disability (PLWD) constitutes one of the biggest minority groups. Unfortunately, in every region around the world, people living with disabilities often live with limitations within society, being deprived of life's fundamental experiences. One of the biggest limitations PLWD must face is not being able to wear clothing that suits their needs, in terms of neither style or foundation. A survey was conducted in this research to by gathering data and information on the challenges faced when wearing clothing as a PLWD. The data from the results of the survey was analyzed and systematic solutions were purposed for adaptive clothing improvements in order to satisfy people’s needs with different disabilities. Finally, two case studies (one with left arm lost, the other on a wheelchair) were conducted where the proposed solutions were proved practical and effective. This study casts new light on researching and producing disabilities clothing.
