Abstract Robotic arms are smart automation equipment that is widely used in industrial manufacturing process. The article aims to assist people to automate and execute the operation of machines. In addition to the controller and servo motor, the flexible operation of the robotic arm is used as the transmission gear of the reducing machine. With the precision gear, the robot can execute all kinds of delicate movements arbitrarily. In the research process, the proposed method focuses on the key precision gears of the robotic arm as the research object, and applies the process capability index, process capability analysis chart and product characteristic factor map as the tools of evaluation and analysis. In order to measure product characteristics with poor quality in the manufacturing process, we will analyze the key factors and parameters by Taguchi and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods to improve the setting values of various parameters in the process. Consequently, the proposed method can improve product quality, ensure the quality stability of the products and hence promote industrial competition.
