A Discussion of the Safety Assurance Technology of Highly Complex System in Information Era

Abstract Safety is a key requirement of the modern product system. Now the product system is becoming more complex due to the increasing application of electronics, software and system integration technology, problems coming from complexity and complication are challenging the safety condition of the product system. To promote the safety-related work in the complex product system development process, this paper makes a brief discussion of current status of safety assurance technology as well as the problems based on the experience of product work in China, some corresponding advices are also recommended.
