Abstract | We develop discrete software reliability growth models (SRGMs) considering testing environment by using regression-based modeling for the sake of improving the reliability assessment accuracy. Various metrics that express test environment are not taken into consideration in discrete SRGMs proposed so far. Therefore in this paper, we propose two methods that apply regression-based modeling by considering test environment factors. Then we compare our models with conventional model in terms of several goodness-of-fit criteria and check the effectiveness of our discrete SRGMs developed in this paper.
