Abstract On-Demand bus system is used in several local areas in Japan. The system is considered as a better system than the fixed route bus because a few passengers use the bus transportation in a local area. In this paper ondemand bus system which is similar to the taxi is dealt with. However, we consider that the different groups of passengers use the same bus at the same time, which is unusual as a taxi (but normal as a bus) in Japan. The bus is assumed to move the single line with several bus stops and carries the passengers between the point where they call and the center of the area in a discrete time system. We consider two types of reservation, one reservation requires the bus to start to move when the passengers call, the other requires the bus to start to move after one unit time. We formulate the expected number of users of the bus by Markov process.
