Abstract This paper shows the parameterization activity of maintenance costs, in an Italian combined cycle plant for power generation, by defining a tool for the selection of maintenance packages for the plant. This tool, based on the use of a software program, provides indices and values that identify those packages and those maintenance activities that could represent economical risks to the plant. This parameterization work does not aim at determining which maintenance packets should be applied and which not, but aims at providing guidance to the plant maintenance management, on which activities are preferable to perform.
